THE PROBLEM
THE PROBLEM
Our team aimed to create a user-friendly, skills-focused training resource for customers using our Network Detection and Response (NDR) platform. Users needed support in mastering essential platform navigation and key features. The challenge was to deliver content that would be both engaging and practical, enabling customers to acquire these skills independently and on-demand.
THE SOLUTION
THE SOLUTION
I proposed a demo video-centered course to offer an immersive, hands-on learning experience. This approach allowed users to observe the platform’s functions in action, while interactive elements enabled flexible, user-driven navigation. By embedding the course in Rise with Storyline interactive video blocks, I created a seamless, accessible experience that included learning objectives, a course introduction, and a knowledge check.
I collaborated with a product SME to determine key learning objectives, emphasizing critical navigation skills. Together, we mapped out a structured outline for the demos, ensuring that each video covered a targeted skill.

Recording: Working remotely, the SME "drove" the demonstrations during the recordings, while I managed the technical setup and provided feedback to enhance content clarity.
Video Editing: Using Camtasia, I edited the videos, incorporating callouts, zoom effects, and other enhancements to improve clarity and engagement.
Audio Quality: Despite taking measures to clean up and clarify the audio track, the audio quality is still poor due to the equipment used by the SME who did the demo recording. If I were to work on this project further, I would consider using an AI voice generation tool to create a clearer voice-over.
Storyline Development: I designed a non-linear navigation format in Storyline, giving users control to explore topics based on their needs. The design incorporated company branding, custom menus, and closed captioning for accessibility.
Integration in Rise: I embedded the interactive Storyline videos within a Rise course, adding introductory content, learning objectives, and a knowledge check for a well-rounded experience.
